At nine years old Corinna is frustratingly healthy while her three siblings are hit with the inherited and degenerative Didmoad Syndrome. In order to follow them into death she fakes her own blindness and convinces the doctors and her parents that she too will die. Now twenty years later, Corinna puts her ballet shoes back on and performs herself as the little girl who survived and the time when her family was complete.
This documentary mixes the Newman family video footage and re-enactment staring Corinna Newman and her parents Therese and Brian to bring past and present, life and death together on screen.
